Amara Wellness believes in the principles and philosophies of recovery that focuses on the wellness of the “whole person". This is why Amara Wellness is now offering primary care services to those who are currently working to manage their behavioral health. Our primary care clinic provides excellent medical care that includes annual examinations, coordination and referrals to other medical specialist. In addition, our primary care clinic is unique in that it offers case management services by a Qualified Professional and wellness classes that focus on an array of physical health topics.


Our purpose is to provide medical care for those without insurance and who are living with mental health, intellectual developmental disabilities, and challenges of substance abuse are receiving care, that encompasses the spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional aspects of a person. This is done by assisting in fostering a sense of mastery over the person’s life by working on life goals, addressing barriers, improving physical health, involving natural supports with the use of an integrated approach to primary care.

  • Medical Care to both the Insured and Uninsured (annual exams, sick visits, follow up visits, referrals to specialists, etc.)

  • Customized Medical care
  • Case Management Services
  • Coordination of Care with Specialist and Community Based Services
  • 24-hour Medical Triage
  • Wellness Classes that focus on such topics as:
    • Diabetes Prevention and Maintenance
    • High Blood Pressure
    • Healthy Living
    • Smoking Cessation
    • Weight Management

To make a direct referral, please call our Admissions Coordinators at 704-319-7636 or 704-319-7615 and they will schedule you for an initial Assessment appointment.


Please Note: Because this program is funded by a SAMSA grant (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) all referrals must have either a mental health diagnosis and/or a substance abuse diagnosis
